Kimonos have made a huge impact in the fashion scene this year. And I mean It is no wonder why! Seriously I am IN LOVE with them ♥♥ They can make the most basic outfit fun and exciting while not taking away any comfort! This is perfect for a busy college student, like myself. Now today I dressed this one up a bit but it is just as easy to throw it on with a graphic tee and jeans. Can we say HELLO FALL{YAY}!!!!

This Kimono is one of my favorites && I MADE IT! It was seriously so so easy, and I don't really even know how to sew.

All I needed for this project was:
1. A Scarf (the sheer ones are good)
2. Scissors
3. Needle and Tread

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN KIMONO:

^^^^^^ this part should be completely open ^^^^^

Step 1: Fold the scarf over (hamburger style) where both sides are even. At this point your fold should be as shown above.

Step 2: You want to sew both open sides together about 3/4 of the way (sides as seen above). These will be your arm holes, so be sure to leave yourself enough room. Pay close attention to the bottom and top of the armholes to secure your stitch.

Step 3:Cut from the bottom middle of the top layer of the fabric (DO NOT cut both layers). This will be the front of your kimono. Cut all the way up until you reach your fold.

Step 4: You now want to create a hem for the opening. You can take an iron or hair straightener to fold over these two parts about an inch each. You can hold this in place with a needle and sew both sides of the front. *be sure to secure the bottom and where the cuts meet at the fold the best*

&Whalllaaa, you just made your very own Kimono!
