The State Fair of TEXAS, Ya'll!

Monday, October 6, 2014

One of my favorite times of year has finally arrived and I got to go with some of my favorite people EVER! My weekend was filled with fried foods, animals and good friends which is seriously the BEST combo!

One of the most important things to experience of the State Fair of Texas is the....
FOOD!
We decided to start off with the all american foot long corny dog...lets just be honest you can not go to the state fair and not get one!

FRIED GOODNESS...YUMMM!
This right here is the award winning FRIED(of course) peanut butter, banana, jelly and bacon sandwich ...also known as "the King". OH MY GOSH it was so worth the wait! Last year Colton and I got the fried pumpkin pie and fried so'mores (definitely comparable) but I would say go for the sandwich!!

They also have a ton of new treats this year! Some including...deep fried sweet tea, fried milk and cookies, and fried pumpkin spice oreos? What will they think of next?!?!

Another one of my favorite spots at the fair is the greenhouse. It is filled with the coolest decorations and some beautiful flowers. We are standing right under the toy train that makes its way around the entire house (ADORABLE!) A great place to take the kiddos (:

Farmer Mike is just another addition that is one you can never forget! He carves these crazy amazing pumpkins...and YES that is a pumpkin! He carves them in the greenhouse in front of a huge crowd. It is seriously incredible.

YAY, ANIMALS!
{Steer}
{Lamb}
{horses}
&{Stingrays?}YES...We got to pet STINGRAYS!!

We were completely surprised by what these little guys felt like. It was almost like a slimy sponge. There were so many in there and they were not shy at all! They absolutely loved the attention we were giving them and made our experience unforgettable!

Lets just say the boys had some fun too! {LOL}
